Examples

Same number on every run

Python 3.13
import random

random.seed(42)
print(random.randint(1, 10))
2

Ten dice rolls: both 1 and 6 come up

Python 3.13
import random

random.seed(1)
print([random.randint(1, 6) for _ in range(10)])
[2, 5, 1, 3, 1, 4, 4, 4, 6, 4]

Details

Every run gives a new number. To get a repeatable result, call random.seed(...) first, as the first example does. For passwords and tokens, use the secrets module.
